Happy New Years to all of you!
Oh my goodness, I love the holidays but all that fun and food makes for major sludgery.
Time to get out and do something or I will go into hibernation.
It’s a brand new year and time to roll with new ideas and thoughts, so this past week or so has led me into the studio to dream up fresh ideas for Spring. Lots to tell, so more posts are coming, but first I thought I would like to introduce a new item just added to the site
In my quest to create more functional handmade goods I decided to experiment with creating a jewelry display that also functions as a key holder or a place to display your small artful objects. I am a self confessed jewelry hound. If it’s shiny and glittery, I immediately become zombie like and gravitate towards it like metal to a magnet. My husband really appreciates that… But, I needed something to hang my shiny bling from and this is a
great way to incorporate style with functionality.
No two pieces are exactly alike...
The jewelry/trinket holders are available in 4 colors. Each one is constructed of a hefty 3/4" wood base and is embellished with hand distressing, artful doodling and found object such as vintage rulers, game pieces and more...
There are 5 spots on the piece with which to hang necklaces and bracelets or your favorite ornaments, or other hangable objects d’ art.
I had much fun playing with ideas for the pics shown. One of the displays has some of my favorite jewels on it and the other is adorned with some Christmas ornaments and one of my Tinnies. I really love to hang ornaments year around or find alternative uses for them in décor and this is another great reason for a little Christmas year round. For all of you folks that have made the Tinnies, here is another way to get some mileage out of your project. Anyway, go to the website for more information on the newest addition including color choices, pricing and all that good stuff.

Ooo Lisa! Great Eye Candy ... and I do love the functional aspect of your latest work, too. It will make it that much easier to convince my DH that I "NEED" it in the future. ;)
Happy New Year to you ...
xoxo,
Dana
These are so fresh and cheery ... the perfect place to hang keys. That way, when you grab your keys to rush out the door in the morning you see this little something special that makes you smile and you start off the day right.
Wonderful way to start the New Year!
Wow, They are great!
Superbes petites maisons avec ces belles couleurs acidulées... Je te souhaiteune excellente année 2008.
What a fabulous idea, love them, the one with the cans would be great near the phone for the pens that are never there when you need them.
Fabulous! When you put function and art together (especially when it's your art), you can't go wrong! Thanks for the eye candy!
wow love your art ... gorgeous little things
